i dont know is this is appropriate to put on a discussion board but my mum has this disease. shes 50 now and has had it for the past 30 years, it has never gone completely and it is now getting worse. every time she visits the doctors they just keep telling her to take more blood tests and the result are always the same, no one here has offered her any sort of help or medication or anything at all, so she has given up with goin to the doctors. but now it is really getting worse, the purple rash is getting more and more, shes always had it allllll over her leg now its hard to even see a patch of skin, she is experiencing joint pains and she gets an odd purple dots on the soles of her feets thats extremely painful when she walks. the purple rash use to b under control as long as she rests alot but now it seems even with resting it jus keeps getting worse. i am so worried, i looked all over the internet n this seemed to happen more ti infants and seem to go after a few weeks, i jus dont understand mums case, what can she do??

It is very unusual to have a chronic evolution of HSP with only skin and joint pains.
The diagnosis is therefore very unlikely and I think she needs a more complete diagnosis workout (including skin biopsy).
I cannot give any more advice without more details.
